I nodded lightly. "That's what I was thinking." I said softly and shrugged waiting for something to pop up, we needed something to go on.. Something to Help us. But what?

Elijah was at first a bit disappointed. He came up with an stupid question, but then Nick said the most particular thing. His facial expression perked up as Nick said that maybe some type of power sent her away, that maybe he did something. He stood there with his mouth slightly open, thinking. What did he mean? Did he make her go away? Wait did he have powers? If he had power Elijah was about to be in shock with excitment.

"You have powers?"

My eyes widened and my entire body tensed up as I heard Elijah ask me... Did I have powers?
A million things ran through my mind... To name a few.... One; I didn't know the answer... Did I have powers? That was a question I should have been asking someone else. Preferably my mother. Two; I debated strongly on whether or not to tell him... It would make him stop asking ridiculous questions. That was for sure... but was it really my best bet?
"Yes." I mindlessly answered, very afraid of what reaction might come from Elijah.

I covered my face with my hands, this guy had problems, seriously, he did. Why the heck would he tell a bubble brain like this something so important as that. Certainly he was of no help to us. I sighed and let my fingers drag down my face dramatically. "What now.. Einstein..?" I asked Nick sarcastically.

Elijah just looked at Nick in a blank stare for a moment. Powers? He had powers?! He's mouth slowly raised into a smile and the nerd inside of him was on the prowl. He quickly went up to Nick, his hands jerking in excitement.

"So you're like a super hero?" Elijah didn't even bother to let the guy answer. "What are your powers?" This was so cool. He knew that powers had to be real. Ever since he read comic books and heard stories of beings having powers greater than themselves, though his father always told him to take his head out of the clouds and start believing in real things.

I internally face-palmed myself as I heard Skye's lovely little comment. "I'm thinking, alright?" I snapped and turned my head to her. Just as I did so... Elijah opened his pie hole and started asking foolish questions once again.
"I'm not a super-hero... Get that out of your head right now. It's just...." I spoke in a snappish tone, tried to think as I spoke. I seemingly stared into space as I ran over a mental list of excuses. A couple of seconds passed.. and it hit me! The most brilliant, ingenious word that fascinated Kids, and immature people alike.
"..A secret." I made eye contact with Elijah once again, my eyebrows creased downward and I exaggerated my expression to better fascinate him. It was a sure-fire plan, I thought.. "It's a very, very big secret... Like Superman's, or Spider-man's.." I couldn't believe I was actually speaking 'geek'... But I had seen the movies. And I decided to use it to my advantage.

I pursed my lips shut. A Secret! Genius! PURE GENIUS! Elijah would certainly enjoy that. I crossed my arms and shifted my weight watching the scene. I giggled internally and watched quietly, wondering what Elijahs response to that would be, he'd probably burst out in and be all like. "A SECRET!" Or something.. Who knew... knowing Elijah.. Haha. (short, I'm sorry, no muse)

Elijah looked at him with with eyes that could make a deer in the headlights jealous and his mouth gaped so wide that a fleet of flies could live in there. A secret? A SECRET?! Did he say secret? He loves secrets "SECRET?! Tell me!"

I almost cringed at the face Elijah made.. Was that really how he looked when he was excited?
"Yeah.. Yeah, a secret." I spoke under my breath, and glanced away as I tried to think about what to say. "Okay, so say I am sitting in my room... Reading a book." I started, then looked at him to make sure he was paying attention. "So.. if I read the book aloud, Like I am reading it to someone? One of the people in the book will.. come out." I said unsurely.

Making sure Elijah was paying attention? There was no need for that because he was staring intently. He listened as Nick explained his powers, wasn't it supposed to be a secret? Well whatever didn't matter to Elijah. "So by reading books you make people come out....is that all it does? Nothing bad happens? How do you put the people back into the book?" With his mouth slightly open and his fingers slightly covering his mouth he thought, if anything can capture his attention for more than a few minutes it was fantasy.

I leaned on the wall as I listened, boy I sure hoped Elijah didn't blab secret out to people. I shifted and looked at Nick, "Maybe.. just maybe... if you read the same page over again.. Peter will go back in and your Mom will come back out. Like maybe it switches the two people. I cringed at the thought, because clearly Peter had been in battle, I didn't know his Mom, but I suspected she wasn't that skilled with a sword. If that Was the case, which I had no idea.

My eyes moved way far off to the left as I thought. "Er.." I staggered, pretty much lost for words. As much as I wished I could answer his questions... I simply didn't know that information.
"Not sure." I stated after quite a delay. I then turned to Skye. "That'd be ridiculously risky.. I'd probably end up making you two disappear, too.. " I finished the sentence in my head, Which, sometimes, seems like the right path to take.. "There has to be a safer way. Maybe my Gran-" I stopped myself in mid-sentence... Grandpa.. not an option. "Maybe my Grandma knows something. My Dad won't be home til early tomorrow morning."

Not sure? Well Elijah needed to know. This was going to bug him until he finds out. Elijah tuned back into the conversation, something about going to Nick's grandma's house and his dad not coming home until tomorrow morning. Someone to tell them what Nick's powers were? What were they waiting for? They needed to go now or else Elijah was going to be a pain in the butt.

The feeling of anxious-ness ran through him like a flash of lighting.

"Well then why are we still standing here, let's get over to your Grandmas house!" I stated flinging my arms into the air with an excited expression on my face, I glanced around and looked at Elijah, not really liking the expression of anxiousness and curiousness on his face. Oh boy.. This was going to be interesting.
