I guess it's pretty much safe to say that we are dying or already dead. This saddens me. WHERE IS EVERYONE?! I admit I've been very busy with school work, and with my job, and friends, church, and all the other million things going on in my life and haven't been on much either... But I want to change that! All I've been writing lately is random journals, and essays and what not for my online language arts courses, I NEED something to get me excited about writing again. When I was roleplaying my …

Bar Habour Empty
PostSubject: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyMon May 14, 2012 2:38 am

Bar Harbor Maine, seems like a relatively normal town right? It looks like any other town should look, it has decent sized population, normal people, nothing extraordinary, and nothing strange really happens there... Right? Well, it may seem like that now, but if you delve into the past of Bar Harbor, you will see that it was anything but normal.

[OLDEN DAYS]

Back in the early 1800's Bar Harbor started out normal, it was a small community of people, everyone got along, nothing unusual ever happened, and everyone knew everyone, it was a happy town, there were markets, small pubs, and there was a town council, it was made up of the Elders in the town, the respected men that had lived in Bar Harbor the longest, and usually the eldest males of the most respected families; The Cutteridge, Halding, DanesWorth, Merewen, and Medwin families.

Early in the year 1880 people in Bar Harbor starting complaining to the Council that there livestock started to go missing little by little, a few sheep here, one or two pigs there, and a few cows over there. People said that they had heard the distant howls wolves in the forest, and even glimpsed a few here and there. Then there were the more absurd accounts, people claimed that they saw a normal man transform into a wolf, right in front of their eyes! The Council of course thought the people were just getting all worked up because of the other wolf stories that circulated the town as well. But not long after a person spoke of seeing what was called a 'werewolf' they went missing. The people were frightened, but the Council still thought it was simply trickery among the people, they didn't believe in these 'werewolves'

Until one fateful night... The town was attacked by a pack of ferocious wolves, or 'werewolves', houses were torn apart, as well as some men, women and children, it was dreadful, but that was what it took for the Council to finally realize that this was real. People had fled the town during the attack, but afterwards the survivors slowly trickled back and began to rebuild it. Meanwhile, The Council decided to form a group, Wolf Hunters, they swore that there children, and their children's children and their children's children's children's chil- Okay you get the picture. Anyways, they swore that their Descendants would all be apart of the same group in the future, the groups whose duty to the town was to defend it from these evil creatures, they were to hunt them down and slay every last one of them. The lived up to their name too; generation after generation the eldest son or daughter of each of those families would become a Hunter, and they would train, and then fight these evil creatures, and defend their town...

[PRESENT]
Over the years the werewolves became an extinct species (or so the Wolf Hunters thought), and it was no longer necessary to pass the Wolf Hunting tradition onto their descendants. Everything soon transformed, the town turned into a decent sized bustling town, with many people, most descendants from the original town members, and other new people that had come in from other states. Bar Harbor was a normal town again, but no one knew of it's history, and when people started to go missing, one after another and then reappearing mangles in an alley somewhere, people panicked. The Werewolves were back, and no one knew of Bar Harbors past but them, they were back for revenge; many of their pack had been killed off during the many attacks the Hunters had made, but many had survived as well.

The Werewolves are now after the Descendants of the formal Hunting Group, members of the Cutteridge, Halding, DanesWorth, Merewen, and Medwin families. They want to avenge the deaths of so many of their kind, and get rid of 'The Council' for good.

[img]https://2img.net/h/oi45.tinypic.com/2ilqwi.jpg[img]https://2img.net/h/oi47.tinypic.com/33o1lqh.jpg

Full name- Liam Joseph Faron.
Nickname- Liam or Faron.
Gender- Male.
Age- Twenty-one. His birthday is August 7th.
Appearance in Description- Liam stands at 6'2, and while he isn't somebody you'd like to get in a fight with, he isn't the strongest guy out there. He is muscular, with slim muscles down his shoulders and a full chest that moves toward a stomach with all muscle, no fat. His legs are muscular and strong from an adulthood habit of running every morning, in both human form and wolf form. For a grown man, his weight barely tips the scale at one-seventy five, due to his skinny physique, but he isn't quite unhealthy. His most notable feature would be his blue eyes, which are often wide and alert, darting toward any movement or sound. Messy brown hair just barely reaches past his eyes, with a crooked part that's side changes often.
His clothing style varies, though he often just wears a sleeveless, sideless shirt with styled jeans. Hoodies are his best friend, but he favors leather jackets almost as much. He has one tattoo on his left arm (photo is shown), and no more.
His wolf form has muscular shoulders and powerful back legs from years of running and exercising, something that Liam did very often to keep himself busy and to exhaust energy. After changing forms, he would settle down near a particular tree in the edge of the woods near the trail where he ran and nap for an hour or two to regain his energy. Since his initial transformation, he's become accustom to changing and doesn't get quite so tired after morphing, but he still becomes lethargic immediately afterwards. He is better for speed rather than brutish fighting in his wolf form, but he could be considered a scrappy fighter, too, as he is wiry and quick. He stands around four feet high at the shoulder and is five foot eight from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail.
Personality- Liam's personality seems simple at first, but it gets more complex once you get to know him. He's an honest person through and through, kind to people who he likes at first and cold or harsh with those who he doesn't get good vibes from. This sense of who's a good person and who isn't is not often wrong, but he's been known to make mistakes with it. In short, if he likes you and if you're good to him, he'll have no problem keeping you laughing and using his easy smile to lighten up the room.
Strange things can send him into a serious mood, where he'll want nothing more than to be alone. It can be anything that reminds him of his family, or something that brings his attention to the bad parts of his werewolf abilities, or sometimes something that doesn't seem to make sense at all. It's best for him to be alone at these times, especially since he's a half-breed wolf and could morph uncontrollably during the heightened emotion.

Likes:
-Running/Jogging
-Sleeping with the windows open
-Writing songs and singing them with guitar (he isn't very serious about this hobby, but he enjoys it and is skilled with it)
-Alcohol
-Listening to music.

Dislikes:
-Rain (Mostly water in general, but he sometimes enjoys a swim in the ocean)
-Soda
-Sandals
-Loud noises (With the exception of blasting his own music)
-His parents (He'll always love them, but that doesn't mean he has to like them.)
Quirks- One quirk that Liam has is clenching his teeth together, which shows on his jaw, below his ear when he does so. He mostly does it when he's nervous or uncomfortable, but it's a small indicator of his feelings considering he's a pro at acting normal despite how he feels.

Liam was brought up in a relatively normal family in a large house, living with both of his parents and an older sister named Lucia Rose. Liam and Rose had been close since he was able to walk, and he looked up to her almost more than anything. Lucia's parents smiled down at her a little more than they did Liam, but this evaded young Liam's notice. When Liam was twelve and Lucia was sixteen, she was raped by her boyfriend who was four years her senior, and she plunged into severe depression afterwards. Liam watched her struggle with it for a half a year, but only a few months after the incident, she took her own life by hanging herself on the ceiling fan in her bedroom. She was found by their mother, and Liam only saw the body during the funeral.
Liam's parents, who hadn't done much to console her after the rape, were devastated by her death and became unreachable by Liam, much like Lucia had been during her depression. He lived a more troubled life from then on, which was a far cry from the easy life he and his family had been living prior to Lucia's death.
Liam was seventeen and going on a walk through town, which was a frequent nighttime habit for him, when he broke into a sudden sweat. His body temperature spiked, sweat soaked the hair on his forehead and his vision became blurry. Not one to cry out for help, he continued walking, but his clumsy steps only brought him a few feet before he collapsed on the sidewalk. Nobody was in town, so no one was there to see him as he crawled just inside an alley, hidden by shadows, following some instinct that he didn't understand, but knew to obey. It felt like hours of writhing in pain, clenching his mouth shut to keep from making a noise, but by daybreak he'd fully transformed into a wolf and wouldn't be human again until he managed to change back the next night. Liam did not understand that this was in his bloodlines, a gene that neither of his parents showed signs of, but his grandparents did. It was an inevitable curse that he wouldn't ever be able to escape from, though at first it didn't seem so bad. No, it began to get difficult when a few weeks later, he was approached by one of the local gangs.
They were passed off as new trouble makers in town, graffiti and stealing small-ticket items being the worst damage they ensued, but they'd come to that town for a purpose. Revenge. And they just so happened to have found a new recruit who's bloodlines led up to the very Alpha that their ancestors followed so many years ago. Liam failed to tell his parents about the family's history, nor the changes it made to him for fear that they would slip even further away or reject him for good. Instead, he dropped out of high school and spent most of his life in his room or out with his close friend before finally moving into his friend's house when he was about to turn eighteen. The wolf pack in town hadn't made any severe moves yet, though they continuously reminded Liam that the time for attack would come, and he constantly was barely avoiding their contact, shying away from the attacks that seemed inevitable. Every part of his human side was against the plan, but his wolfish side had an extremely hard time disagreeing with the pack.
He didn't live with his friend for long, as Liam's odd habits and increased emotional reactions made his friend step back and eventually ask him to leave. Liam moved into an apartment on his own and barely holds a job at a cafe in town at Bar Harbor, over an hour from the house where he grew up.

Audre'AhnaPaigeMerewen

Full Name|||Audre'Ahna Paige Merewen *Audrie for short*
Age|||Twenty-One (September 13, 1991)
Gender/Sexual Orientation|||Female, Straight (Just in case it wasn't obvious xD)
Personality|||Audrie is one of those 'Go with the flow' kind of girls; relaxed and down to earth. Sure she likes to dress up when she has the chance and puts thought into her wardrobe, but she isn't stuck up about it. She is friendly with people she likes, and not so much with people she doesn't like, and let me tell you, you don't want to be one of those people, because her temper is as red hot as her hair. But don't worry, she usually likes most people, and is very friendly and a cheerful person to be around; she likes to joke and play, and act immature at times. Though she is already in her twenties and attending college a little (or big0 bit of her kid-self still exists er, and it doesn't take much to bring it out. All in all, Audrie is a great friend, loyal, honest, and trustworthy, and fun to be around!

Likes:
-Listening to music
-The sound of rain
-Playing the Piano
-Photography
-Sharpies (She is usually always doodling on something, herself included)

Dislikes:
-Bugs
-The Smell of wet dog (This should be funny in the RP xD)
-Messy ANYTHING, rooms, cars, offices, just anything in general
-ehhhh I'll probably expand on this later. :P

Quirks|||A tell tale sign that Audrie is stressed, annoyed, flustered or in any sort of bad mood is that she started to clean. If she started feeling under stress she'll start to organize anything that is organize-able and within her reach. Another quirk of hers is that she usually doodles when she's bored or has nothing else to do, or just has to more her hands, it's not like the average person who just grabs a pen and scribbles random things on a paper, No. She usually does her doodling with a sharpie, and draws intricate designs either on a paper, or herself.

Bar Habour Empty
PostSubject: Re: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyMon May 14, 2012 4:14 am

It would be impossible to describe the sensation I felt as I followed the Alpha in tow through the soggy forest. I stared down at my massive paws as they stepped through the damp foliage with surprisingly quiet steps, forced but still incredibly reluctant. Ten minutes prior I was sitting in my apartment building about ready to fall asleep on the couch when I heard the most faint howl in the distance. And from there it was all out of my control. I dropped the soda I was holding, morphed in the house and clawed up the hard wood flooring on my way out the door, which was thankfully already open. It'd been the Alpha who howled, and when he demanded something, you had to do it.
So it was this invisible rope that seemed like it was attached to my very being, dragging my feet forward and toward the town through the woods. The nearest wolf was twenty feet in front of me, following the Alpha with far more enthusiasm than myself. I could sense the mood from the rest of the group, I knew that bloodshed was filling their minds. I could practically see auras of jouyous vengence around them, could almost hear their thoughts of delicious revenge. But that was ridiculous, because only the Alpha could hear your actual thoughts while you were in wolf form.
The great black wolf at the head of our small pack, which was really just a small portion of the actual pack chosen for this particular mission, curled up his lip and a growl crackled from his throat, ordering us to move in closer. I picked up the pace and jogged ahead, brushing shoulders with two wolves who were almost exactly my size. One growled, not with anger at me, but trying to express his excitement. My ears became erect and then swirled to the sides, and I kept my eyes locked ahead. We were in a tighter formation now, four wolves following behind just one who was larger than us all. His sleek black form slipped from the cover of the woods and out into the open night air, and the rest of us leapt out of the woods after him. His paws began to use more muscle with each step, making him go faster until he was in a full extended run. The rest followed, tongues hanging out of their mouths as they booked it across an expanse of grass, past a dark and empty road and eventually between the backside of a row of buildings that would bring them to the center of town which, even in this late hour, still bustled with people going in and out of restaurants and bars, enjoying the damp but warm night.
I couldn't help it at all, now. I could barely hang onto the human thoughts that made me reluctant for this long-anticipated attack. We'll storm the town tonight, he said. My paws pulsed harder against the ground, muscles bunching and releasing in a powerful gait that brought me right up behind the Alpha, who was the only one in the pack faster than I was. Don't fear or be hesitant, you will know who we target when you see them. Trust your intuition. He slipped in an area between two buildings that was just big enough to fit his massive form and I dove in just after. I was one stride in and looked through the opening of the alleyway where the road was lit with yellow-orange streetlights. I'll take the Halding shoppe. His voice was powerful and strong in my head, allowing for no disobedience. Just across the street was a shop owned by the Halding family, and the older couple lived in the upstairs of it. The Alpha planned on slaughtering them in their beds, a plan that we weren't exactly sure of until he conveyed it to us in that moment. He and I were almost through the alley, followed by the other three wolves.
And then something caught my eye as I looked past the Alpha. It was a mother pushing a stroller along just in front of the Halding shoppe, a blanket covering the opening and shielding the baby from the rain. And it was that small glimpse that made my mind human enough to stop, to not follow the Alpha just for a moment. My feet stopped short on the ground and I slid a foot on the pavement, scraping the pads on my paws. My ears flew backwards and tail went straight up in surprise at my own decision, and the three wolves who were just behind me crashed in a big furry heap, one tumbling over me. A quiet yelp escaped someone's maw, maybe it was mine, but I was too scared to know. The Alpha turned his massive head to stare daggers just as he made that last stride, revealing his great form to the people in that part of the street. But I'd held up the rest of the pack in the narrow hallway, he was alone.
A single scream from a woman and a bark that would have sent chills down any human's spine. I heard a single crunch of bones, another shout, and then the Alpha had turned back toward the alley. He dove over myself and another wolf and bounded away with what seemed to be a human arm, dangling remains of a suit jacket. I felt anger from the Alpha directed toward me, but still followed when the rest of the wolves turned and chased him away from the failed attack. If we didn't have surprise, it wouldn't be worth it to the Alpha. Or maybe he just thought that instead of terrifying and or killing the whole damn town, he might take a minute to track the families he wanted dead.
We bounded with great strides until we reached the edge of the forest again, movements so silent that the people in town would have only seen a great black shape devour a man before running back into the shadows, unheard. The Alpha stopped and whirled around, making the rest of us come to an immediate stop. His lips curled up over ivory teeth and his eyes looked over all the wolves before finally resting on me. You fool, you cowardly fool! He shouted in my head, gnashing his teeth loudly. Large paws brought him forward in the wet grass toward me, and the nearer he got, the weaker my confidence became. With each step he took, I lowered myself closer to the ground. When he was before me, I'd laid on my belly and my head was on the ground, turned slightly to the side. I hated this, I hated his dominance, but I absolutely could do nothing against it.
He barked and reached down to snap at my neck and I yelped, scrambling backwards and trying to stand, but I still held myself low to the ground. He meant no real harm, only a sharp and reprimancing bite, and he watched me for a moment longer before looking at the rest. You'll follow me next time, do you understand? I don't care if I'm diving into a lake of fire, you will follow. This night will not be a total waste, we'll strike again. The town will be prepared now, but we have a fallback plan. His yellow eyes found me again and I turned my ears back, but I stood tall again. Follow me, there's a cluster of homes just outside of town. Most of them are old homes, passed down from the generations who did this to us.
He turned then and began to run, but continued to carry his thoughts across to us we we went. I followed behind, purposely running slowly. I had no intention to get close to the Alpha just yet, not after a slip up like that. We'll split up in two's when we get there and storm the houses. Faron, you'll be waiting out on the street. If anyone manages escape, you'll take care of them. A whine escaped my throat, letting him know I agreed to that. At least, a part of me did.

Bar Habour Empty
PostSubject: Re: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyMon May 14, 2012 5:06 am

I had always been the responsible one of my group of friends, most of them were partiers and they liked their alcohol, that was all fine, because they were above drinking age. I usually was very prudent and either settled with a coke, and on certain occasions a beer, but tonight, all that was thrown out the window; my best friend Mary convinced me to go out to club on my Twenty First birthday. I liked the idea, but I wasn't big on the whole 'alcohol' idea, since I hadn't drank much of it, I wasn't really interested in drinking a whole lot, but I saw the mischievous look in Mary's eyes when she told me the plan and new right off the bat that I wasn't going to get off with one beer. I guess I just had to go with it. I decided to go for a dress dress a little shorter than my usual 'below the knees' length, and try a different style than I usually did; I clothed myself in a strapless black dress a few inches above the knees, red high heels, red trench, red clutch, and red lipstick.

I stepped out of my house into the crisp evening air and took in a deep breath, I glanced around and caught my reflection in the window. I couldn't help but feel excited for the night that was to come, my friends always showed me a good time, and I was sure that whatever they had planned for tonight was going to be as fun as our other outings, or more. I took another deep breath then shut the door behind me and took a few steps towards my friend Jeremy's shiny black truck. My friends, Sam, Mary, Jeremy, Kathrine and Jake, were all leaning on the side of the truck, laughing at my friends Mary and Kathrine as they belted out the lyrics to 'Don't Stop Believing' at the top of their lungs. I couldn't help but laugh along with them as I joined the group. To any bystander they might all look like a bunch of drunk teenagers, but I knew them, and this was them when they were sober believe it or not. When the song ended Mary dashed over to me and wrapped her arms around me in a bone crunching hug.

"Happy birthday Audrieeeee!!" She yelled loudly in my ear. I winced and then laughed, hugging my best friend back, she was a crazy one, but I still loved her.
"Hah, thanks Mary, next time tone the volume down, I rather not go deaf on my birthday." I joked as we finally released each other.
She rolled her eyes and laughed, "Don't be such a wuss!" She stepped away from me and the whistled as she took in my outfit. "Giiiirl, you look hot!" The guys all nodded their agreements and made some joking wolf howls.
"Hey, you look like a fire hydrant with all that red!" Jeremy teased with a wink.
It was my turn to roll my eyes now, "Sure, whatever. Can we go?" I smirked.
Everyone nodded and piled into the truck. We were off.

After 10 minutes of driving, laughter and banter, we finally arrived at the spot, everyone piled out of the truck and headed inside while Jeremy went and parked. At the entrance we handed in out coats and any extra items we didn't want to carry inside and then headed for the doors separating us from the fun. As we entered the building my senses were overwhelmed by the pounding music, the smell of alcohol in the air, and the colorful lights that blinked on and off in sync with the music. A big smile pulled across my face as I noticed that I knew almost everyone from College and some people from highschool were here as well. Then my eyes drifted to a banner that hung across the back wall that read 'Happy 21st Birthday Audrie!

"You guys!" I exclaimed turning to face my friends. "I can't believe you actually rented this place out for a private part!" My smile was so huge it was about to stretch from one ear to another, I really did have the best friends ever.
"We can't waste any time! Lets go dance!" Kathrine yelled as she grabbed my arm and pulled me out on the dance floor.
I laughed and let her and my friends guide me out onto the floor, where we danced for about a half an hour before we got a booth and sat down to rest our legs and have a few drinks. When the waiter came over to get our order I was about to ask for my usual beer but Mary cut me off instead.
"Shots all around." She yelled over the thumping music. I was about to argue but she gave me her signature, one eyebrow up 'don't argue with me' look, I knew I wouldn't be able to get around this.

A few hours and a few, or more, shots, and a cake later my brain was alive with the unfamiliar buzz of the alcohol. This went against all my good judgment, but at the moment I didn't care and decided that I would just live in the moment, as they say. I danced till my legs felt like rubber, and talked till I was hoarse. By the time it was time to go home I didn't want to, I wanted to keep dancing, but eventually my friends pulled me out of there along with the rest of the crowd that was trickling out onto the sidewalk.
"That was like, the best party everrrr." I slurred happily as I marched to the truck, where I got in and settled myself contentedly in the front seat. My head was still buzzing, and I wasn't as in control of my actions as I usually was. You could say I was a little tipsy, I guess.

I was jolted awake as water splashed across my face. "What's going on?!" I demanded as I sat up, somewhat alert. Mary giggled beside me and I looked at her with squinted eyes.
"Dude, wow, you need to get to sleep." She guffawed, "You're so hilarious when you're drunk, now would you kindly get out so we can leave?" She said with a smirk as she looked at me.
I couldn't help but laugh at her words and I sloppily climbed out of the truck, yawning and stepping away as Mary took my spot in the front seat. I waved goodbye as they drove off and then stumbled up my front walk to the door, where I fumbled with my keys for a good 2 minutes before I found the one that went into the lock and opened the door. I then proceeded into the house, dropped my heels on the floor, shut the door and walked over to the couch where I collapsed into a heap. My body was hot and the cool leather felt refreshing against my skin. I snuggled myself into the cushions and closed my eyes. The buzz in my head died down and my last thoughts were, 'This was the b...best...birth..day..eve..er... Then I was out for the night.

Bar Habour Empty
PostSubject: Re: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyMon May 14, 2012 3:20 pm

The run only took a little less than ten minutes. We dashed through a quiet beach over the damp sand, through a small patch of thin woods, over an expanse of field and found ourselves in a neighborhood with four large houses turned inward around a cul-de-sac road. Most were older brick homes with family names engraved in stone above the doorway, though they'd been modified to look modern over the years. Only three of these houses were owned by families who were decedents of the council, but I wondered how those decedents had spread through town over the years. There had to be dozens of them, sisters and brothers and uncles, and all of their children... The Alpha stepped into the center of the cul-de-sac and looked in at the house which was set almost perfectly in the center, his yellow eyes analyzed it.
Chris, you'll come to this one with me. The Alpha nodded toward a smaller gray wolf, who joined up immediately. He turned to a sandy wolf more brutish than I and turned his nose to a house to the left. Jason, you're with Paul. He said, and a red wolf joined with Jason, the sandy blond one. I stood alone, watching the Alpha, already aware of what my command was.
He eyed me for a moment longer before bounding off with a grunt, dashing up the large front porch of the center house, the Cutteridge residence. Jason and Paul went to what I assumed to be the Merewin home, which was considerably smaller from the rest but still clearly an older house. When the Alpha reached the porch, he morphed quickly and swiftly, standing on two feet instead of four. He had shaggy dark hair brushed back and a broad face with startling honey eyes, a form more well known as Callan than the Alpha. Chris morphed human as well, a smirk creeping onto his face as Callan tried the knob before finally just kicking the door in. Rowdy howls filled the quiet house as they dashed upstairs.
Jason and Paul were making a little less progress, still in their wolf forms and scratching at the door that, when they stood on their hind legs, they were about as tall as. Finally Jason stepped back and rammed it once, growling when it didn't give. He rammed it again and the door broke inward. All it took was Paul lurching forward on his front paws for the door to give out, and both immediately ran upstairs. I continued to watch from the street, eyes constantly dashing around as I waited for some straggler to flee. What none of us knew, especially Jason and Paul, was that they'd run right past the room where a girl slept after her birthday celebration, the strong scent of the leather couch she laid on hiding her scent from them for just a moment.
[Figured she could use that chance to run out, Liam chases her, etc. Very Happy]

Bar Habour Empty
PostSubject: Re: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyMon May 14, 2012 6:46 pm

I heard a loud cracking sound in the distance which slowly pulled me from my slumber, I was groggy for a moment and the alcohol affected my judgment. I quickly sat up and looked around, dazed, but just in time to see two tall male figures run past my living room, howling like wolves. It took me a few seconds to register what was happening and then I quickly dove off the couch, I peek around the edge of it looking in the direction both males had gone, and then I looked at the door which was run down near the kitchen, I then looked behind my at the back door, that was my best bet. My heart beat was loud in my head as I whirled around and dashed towards the door that lead from my living room to the backyard. I fumbled to find the knob in the dark but when I found it I grasped it tightly in my hands and turned it. I jumped down skipping the two small steps and looked around, becoming more alert because of the adrenaline and fear pounding through my veins. The buzz in my head was a bit more subtle and was starting to leave behind a dull throbbing in my head, I would have to deal. I made a run for the woods, tripping a few times scraping up my bare legs. When I finally reached cover of the woods I stopped to breath for a few seconds, then I took off in the direction I believed town to be. I could find help there. I heard a scream which cut me short, I turned around and glanced at the houses that surrounded mine. That's when I realized that the Cutteridge's front door was kicked down as well. My fear began to grow, 'What's going on? I thought to myself. Without a second moments thought I turned and fled, disappearing into the shadows of the trees. I had to make it to town.

I sat back on my haunches on the cold wet pavement, eyes still perfectly alert and watching around the houses. I heard a scream come from the Cutteridge's house, followed my a laugh that only my keen ears would have been able to hear. It was Callan's laugh, cold and short but somehow it still sounded lighthearted... As if he were laughing at a harmless joke that his best friend had just made. I looked down for a moment and then heard the click of a doorknob come from behind one of the houses. My gaze shot up and I glanced around furiously, trying to see where the sound had come from. I was about ready to accept that I'd been hearing things when I heard the crunch of leaves under quiet feet, running to the left and into the woods.
I was on my feet immediately and in the next second, already crossed the pavement and was dashing through the lawn of the Merewin home. I hesitated outside of the woods to listen, ears erect in the direction the sound of running came from, and then I dashed into the forest after the escapee. My paws were the size of dinner plates, but my footfalls were even quieter than those of the person running. A perk of being a shapeshifter or werewolf was the ability to move through darkness in an eerily stealthy way, just a great shadow that was there one moment and gone in the next. I swiftly avoided trees, taking strides of seven or eight feet. When I finally caught sight of the runner, I instantly noticed the shock of red hair that flew back as she ran. It was just a girl.
I paused, accidentally breaking a noisy branch in my hasty stop, but it was dark and I was near enough to a large bush to blend in if I held still. My eyes followed her as she ran by and I wondered if she'd hesitate at the noise. She might be too scared to even notice. I looked back toward the neighborhood where I could still hear very faint screams, then my eyes returned to the running girl.

[Totally up to you if she notices him as a wolf or not, he's about to change back to human Very Happy]

PostSubject: Re: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyMon May 14, 2012 7:21 pm

My bare feet caught on rocks, branched and leaves as I ran, needless to say I was anything but quite. Ow, ow, ow ow ow owwww.. Dammit! Were the thoughts running through my head as I hastily fled from the house. I then came to a halt as I heard a branch snap, but it took me a second to just keep on running. I was a fairly fast runner, but with bare feet it was a lot harder for me to keep up a good pace. I didn't want to know what had made that branch snap, I just needed to get out of the woods and into the alley that marked the edge of town. As I continued to run I felt as if I was being watched, I'm going to die, it's as simple as that. The pessimistic voice in my head said. I shook the thoughts from my head and pushed myself forward, I was so close, I started to see a few street lamps, but there were no cars or people around, it struck me as odd, but I continued to run. I was just coming to the edge of the woods when a branch got in my way and sent me sprawling. I felt my ankle twist in a strange way and felt pain run up my leg. A small yelp escaped my lips before I quickly shut up and pulled myself into a crawling position, my only thoughts were to get out of the woods, survive. I crawled, and pushed myself towards the alley.

As I finally left the woods and crawled into the filthy alley, I felt a small bit of relief. If I hit behind a large bin and stayed very quiet, they wouldn't be able to find. This thought kept me going until I was up near two large dumpsters. I pushed used them to pull myself up to my feet, or foot, and I hopped towards a dark corner between the wall and the dumpster. I then lowered myself down into the small corner in the shadows and pulled my legs close to my chest. Shivers racked through my body, I had left my jacket behind and I was clothed in nothing but this thin dress. My eyes began to water and I buried my face in my knees. What was going on? Why were they after me? These thoughts were the ones that kept returning to my head as I sat there, unable to hold in my tears or control the fear that was growing inside of me.

I remained crouched low until the girl continued running through the woods at an uneven gait, feet hesitating to land on the branches, rocks and thorns that would bring them pain. When she was a safe distance away I stood and bounded after her again, this time leaving a good thirty feet between us, but I never lost track of her. When she broke free from the trees, I paused just within their cover and watched intently as she limped out of the woods and toward a small alleyway at the edge of town. I glanced back toward the neighborhood once more, still feeling the glad vengeance from Callan, and suddenly I was human again. I couldn't feel his feelings anymore, but if he howled, I'd be screwed.
And don't get any weird ideas, I was still fully clothed. Our clothes don't tear off or just disappear when we morph, they become fur. Or rather, the fur becomes them. Knits itself together so fast that the human eye can't catch it, but it is handy not having to drag around a change of clothes. I stepped out of the cover of the woods with slight hesitation, still fully aware of my surroundings. I listened around myself closely and glanced around frequently as I crossed the grass, finally approaching the alleyway that the girl hid herself in. I rebuked myself for not remaining a wolf, because it'd be so much easier to kill her that way...
But that wasn't really what I was there to do, was it?
I sighed inaudibly at the stupid thing I was about to do, then walked into the alley with steps slightly noiser than I would have liked. I may have seen where she went, but I didn't know exactly which crevice she hid herself in. There were clumps of garbage bags to the left and right, empty soda and beer cants strewn about, and two large garbage canisters close to me. Not bothering to be quiet anymore, as it was probably better to seem as human as possible, I tucked my thumbs into my pockets and paused in front of the canisters, looking around. "Hello?" I asked quietly, but my voice still echoed back to me from the wet brick walls. I listened for a moment afterwards and turned my head to look between the two garbage canisters, where I heard a quiet noise that sounded like a cry. After allowing my eyes a moment to focus in the dark, something they were exceptionally good at doing, I was able to make out her form. But I still didn't know what to say.

I sat in silence, the dreadful feeling of suspense creeping through my body as I waited, for anything at all. I was about to crawl out until I heard some loud footsteps and yanked myself back into the darkness, a small cry escaping my lips.
"Hello?" Came the unfamiliar voice, I felt relief wash over me and was about to give up my cover when I realized that it could have been one of the men in my house that had followed me. I became panicked and huddled myself closer into to the wall. The shivers grew worse, the dull throbbing in my head clouded my thoughts and I didn't know what to do. After a little bit I peeked my head out to see if he was gone, but there he stood. He didn't look like the two men that had entered my house, I had managed to catch a glimpse of them, and noticed that he was dressed differently than they were. Relief washed over me as I started to leave my cover, tears started streaming down my face as I pulled myself up to my feet and limped towards him.
"Two men...in .. m..my house." I stuttered, "They were ch...ch...chasing me." I chattered as another bout of shivers racked through my body. I looked at him with pleading eyes as I slowly walked towards him. My legs wobbled and I finally stopped a few feet away from him. I was cautious as I accessed him with my eyes. I inched closer to the trash bin where a rusted crow bar was laying, if he tried anything, or was one of those men I would easily be able to grab it for defense. If it came to that at least, he didn't look like a low life to me.

I set my jaw when the girl came out of the shadows, looking at me first with caution, then a kind of recognition that made me think she didn't believe I was one of them. I stared with a blank face while she explained that men were chasing her, then glanced toward the exit of the alleyway that we'd come through. When I looked back to her, a few seconds had passed and I realized I ought to do something. "I'm sorry to hear that, I just saw you limping and wanted to see what was happening. Have you called the police?" I began in a polite, almost professional voice, not daring to take a step toward her. I might not have looked it, but I was guilty as hell, and I had to be careful. If she tried to attack me, I wasn't assured that I wouldn't attack back. I looked toward the alley again and then at her, adding a little more remorse to my expression. "Are you hurt?"

My eyes watched him carefully as he stood there, he glanced around, then finally spoke. My tears had finally subsided and I was able to speak without stuttering. I shook my head, "My cellphone is still back at my house.. I couldn't call." I said, still close to the crowbar that laid on the ground. Something about him didn't really seem right, I just, I couldn't place it. I looked down at the crowbar about to bend and pick it up when he spoke. I nodded as I looked at him, "'My ankle..." I said a bit weary. There weren't any houses near the alley where I was, and there wasn't really a reason for a person to be standing out here in the dark. I shivered once and stared at him, my eyes not as pleading as before. Something wasn't right about this guy, definitely not right. My heart started beating fast again, I could hear it in my ears. "Who are you?" I finally demanded. Any other person would be calling the cops, and helping me out of this dirty alley. But he was just... standing there.

I watched the girl carefully as she spoke, seeming like she was choosing her words precisely. When she asked who I was, I looked away again before returning my eyes to her. "I'm Liam, and if you want to get off of that ankle, you'd better move toward town. I.. can't take you there." I hesitated, pressing my lips in a firm line as I tried to think of what else I could say. What was I supposed to tell her? My pack was after her family, amongst many others in town, and she'd be dead soon, anyways? I didn't think that would set well.
A howl came from far away, inaudible to my human ears, but I could sense it as it Callan were right there screaming in my ear. A throb pulsed through my temples, more like an extremely strong will than actual pain, but it did sting. I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment until it somewhat passed, then opened my eyes and looked at the girl again. I swallowed a little nervously, uncomfortable with not coming at Callan's command. "You might still be in danger, really, you should go. I'll see you to the edge of the nightstrip, there should be people there." (Nightstrip is the line of pubs and bars open late. Very Happy ) More like a cluster of policemen from the sudden, strange and horrifying death that just occurred. But she'll be safe for now. I thought, and when Callan howled again, I winced once more.

[She should totally be like "Are you threatening me? O:<" and pick up the crow bar.. that'd be funny. haha! ]

I stared at him then nodded. I then crouched and picked up the crowbar, I sent him a sideways glance then stood, most of my weight on my left leg. "Just in case." I said motioning to the crow bar with my other hand. I then slowly made my way over to him, still very weary of his strange attitude. But I did need help, I wouldn't be able to make it to Nightstrip on my own with my ankle like this. I kept a firm hold on my crowbar as I inched closer and was finally standing only a foot away from him. I reached up and wiped my cheeks, brushing off some dirt and a few tears that hadn't dried yet. "Lets go.." I said.
(Maybe Callan or another wolf should like cut them off when they're about to get to Nightstrip or something? I dunno xD)

I suddenly grinned lightly when she mentioned how the crowbar was just in case, motioning to it with her free hand. Little did she know that in two seconds, I could be in a form that would make that crowbar about as effective as a wet noodle. "Don't blame you." I said simply, still smirking as I took one step closer to her. I reached my arm out, offering for her to step in and put an arm across my shoulders to support herself while I would place my hand against her ribs and help support her. It was a bit of close contact for two people so wary, but unless she wanted me to pick her up and carry her to the strip, it would have to do.
There was silence from Callan now, which made me extremely wary. If he really wanted to force me to come, he would have. No, I think he had it in him to follow me and find me himself, make sure I was at least taking care of someone who'd run. I just hoped that I could get this girl to safety, or the closest thing to it, before he and I crossed paths. I looked back again, then at the girl as I waited for her to make the next move closer to me. I didn't want to be too forward or grabby.

I couldn't help but grin myself as he came towards me, offering his arm for support. If I was in any condition to walk by myself I would do it, but right now I pretty much had to accept his offer and I moved in close, I slung my arm around his neck and lifted my right leg slightly so that I wouldn't be putting so much weight on it. wobbled a but caught my balance by leaning on him a bit. I then straightened myself up a bit. "Thanks for helping me... I must look, crazy or something.." I laughed a bit.

I wrapped my arm around her back and placed my hand at her ribs, helping her steady herself when she wobbled on a step. I grinned again when she spoke, shaking my head very lightly. "Not crazy," I said, then added a second later, "you just look like you need help." I spoke in a quieter voice, maybe for fear that Callan would find me quicker if he heard me. But that wasn't true, because he'd catch my scent long before he could hear me talking to this girl. I took one step and made sure she was alright before taking another, until we were at least on our way to the Nightstrip, even if a little slowly. "Was there anyone else in your house?" I asked after a moment's silence, looking down at her and then ahead once again. I hated to think that she'd have to suffer through the death of a direct family member tonight, on top of being scared to hell out of her own house, but I wasn't sure that she even lived with anyone else.

I smiled, "Well, thanks." I walked carefully along side him towards where Nightstrip was. The dull throb in my head hadn't subsided and the pain in my ankle was only getting worse. My face scrunched up into a wince as I continued to hobble along, only able to because of the support he was providing. After a few steps, he spoke again. I shook my head, "It was just me, my friends dropped me off about ten or twenty minutes before the two men broke into my house," I sighed, "great timing huh?" I shook my head, "If I had just stayed out a little longer I probably wouldn't be in this mess." I mumbled under my breath. "What a great way to spend my birthday."

I nodded as she spoke, saying that her friends had just dropped her off at the house a few minutes before. That would have been about the time I was laying on my couch at home, unaware that tonight would be the night Callan decided to make his first attack. She added that it was her birthday and my stomach sank, smile slowly fading away until it was gone. "I'm real sorry to hear that." I said so quietly it was almost a whisper, and by then we were out of the alleyway. From here it was only a little less than a block from the end of the Nightstrip where I could leave her with police officers.
I was preparing to say something else when the sound of feet, it's worth mentioning that they were human, came from ahead of us and around a corner, maybe even from a different alley. My stomach tensed and I loosened my grip on the girl, though I didn't completely let her go, and I waited to see Callan jump in front of us with a raging expression. He'd slaughter her where she stood and beat the hell out of me, maybe kill me, I didn't know how far that he would go. I didn't necessarily want to find out. I held my breath as the steps got closer until finally, a guy my age came in front of us.
But it wasn't Callan like I'd expected, it was someone in the pack that I was closest with, Jason. He wasn't the same as the rest, and I hadn't actually heard him get excited about killing yet. Though we weren't close enough for me to be positive, I always thought him to be closer to me than Callan. He stopped, catching his breath, then threw on a cool expression when he noticed the girl. "Well hey there," He said, the corner of his mouth twisting up in a flirtatious smile. His chest still went up and down quickly as he caught his breath.
"Jason, what are you doing here?" I asked under my breath, looking past him, then back at his face. His smile faded almost completely and he pressed his lips together, looking from the girl back to me. I got all I needed from that glance, he couldn't say so with sensitive ears around. I got a better grip on the girl and made a move to start walking again, this time a little faster, but I'd wait for her to hop a few steps before really moving. Jason flexed his jaw and then stepped toward us, voice deeper and more sober.
"What happened?" He asked with an innocent voice, trying to seem as human as possible, even though he'd been one of the ones who stormed into her house. I didn't hold fault to him for that, I couldn't resist chasing after her when she managed to escape. When the Alpha ordered something, we just couldn't function how we wanted to. Simple as that.

I shrugged as we walked along, "I'd say that it was fine, but it isn't," I sighed, "there isn't anything I can do, so I'm just going to have to live with this." I grumbled. We walked a ways further but then I felt the man next to me tense up and his grip on me loosen. "What's up?" I asked just as a figure came up to us. He was breathing hard and then looked at, what's-his-name and I.
His expression changed when he looked at me and he sent me a flirty look, "Well hey there," he said.
I froze, staring at him with wide eyes, my grip on the crowbar tightening as recognition set it, his clothes, he was one of the men, he had broken into my house.
Then I heard the man beside me speak, "Jason, what are you doing here?" He then started to take a few steps forward, and I did as well, but my brain was in a whir. He said the mans name, he said the mans name, did that mean that... wouldn't he be a part of the... I couldn't believe how stupid I had been, to trust a stranger, they were together, it was obvious, they knew each other! This wasn't a coincidence, he didn't just happen to be standing around and offer his help, it was a trap.
I snapped back to reality, seeing Jason's face become serious, and he advanced towards us, a cool expression on his face.
"What happened?" He asked, feigning innocence.
Within two seconds I had lifted the crowbar and swung it towards him as I jerked away from the man that had found me earlier. Not sure if I had hit my target or not.
"I knew it! You're one of them!" I yelled stumbled back a few steps wincing as I put pressure on my bad ankle. "Stay back, or so help me I will bash both of your low life's faces in." I threatened, my jaw clenched and my lips pressed in a fine line.

I felt the girl's body tense before she lifted the crowbar and swung it toward Jason, stumbling backwards away from my grasp. But I had willingly leg go of her, taking a step forward and spinning around to face her. I heard the dull thwack as the crow bar crashed into the side of Jason's head and he leaned away, making a face and narrowing his eyes. "Ow." He murmured unhappily, standing again calmly just out of her reach with the bar. A bit of blood leaked down his temple and along his jaw, but by his expression, the hit was just a minor discomfort. And it was, because by the time she'd take another swing, that hit would be healed up, leaving just a trail of dried blood behind.
"Hey, no need to.. bash our faces in." I said, putting my hands up and lifting my eyebrows. "Trust me, we're the good guys. It's the ones that are coming any second now that you don't want to deal with." I said calmly, still keeping my voice hushed. I looked toward Jason, who exchanged a glance back, and he shook his head back and forth very subtly. We didn't have much time at all. Another howl in the distance, this one just barely audible to our ears. Jason and I flinched at the same time and he took a few unsteady steps backwards, placing a hand over his eyes with his thumb and forefinger over his temples. "You don't have to let us carry you, just let us make sure you get there safely. Okay?" I added in a bit of a more rushed tone, tension rising in my chest. Damn it, why couldn't she just let me get her to safety before she became Callan's chew toy? I already was about to lose Jason, and if even he couldn't resist it, I knew the fate of my own willpower wouldn't be far behind.

I stared at Jason in amazement, I mean, I hadn't been lifting weights or anything, but my hits were pretty hard, and I definitely hit him hard enough with that crowbar to at least knock him down. But there he was, standing, and the only word he uttered was "Ow."
I stared wide eyed for a moment then I regained my composure. "Hah!" I scoffed, "The good guys? Yeah I really believe that considering you were the ones who BROKE into my housei n the first place." I growled out as I inched away from them both, keep my eyes on them as I moved backwards. "Oh yeah? Well, whose coming? How do I know this isn't just some stupid trick to get me to trust, so you can knock me out and throw me in a river somewhere?" I said with narrowed eyes. I kept glancing at Jason and the dried blood on his temple. How did that not hurt him? I thought as I looked back at the other man. I wasn't about to trust these two.

PostSubject: Re: Bar Habour   Bar Habour EmptyTue May 15, 2012 12:12 am

I clenched my jaw and stared up for a moment as I fought to keep my patience. There was one thing that all the dumb myths about werewolves had right, and that's that I had an incredibly hard time not losing my patience sometimes. It was something you had to work on often and you could get better over time, but that's just it... It took time.
Jason looked offended. "Paul knocked the door down, and what would be the point of throwing you in a river? We'd just bury you!" He said, as if it were obvious. I looked over at him with wide eyes and an incredulous expression, to which he shrugged. I looked back at the girl and tried to look as sincere as possible, because it didn't seem like trying to tell the truth was enough.
"You have to listen to me." I said, and I planned on adding more, but a sudden numb sensation ran through my skull, aching at my temples. Callan was tired of chasing us, now he was sending out an order. I closed my eyes tightly and faced downward, sucking in a sharp breath, fighting the urge to morph right there. I heard Jason take a step, then he groaned as if he were in pain. In that moment, I knew I could either morph or run. And the latter seemed like the best option for the girl's sake. I opened my eyes and just barely caught her gaze before taking off in a run past her, down the alley way. I heard Jason's footfalls behind me, louder but not as fast.
When I was dashing through the grass again, I morphed mid-stride and caught footing on all fours. I could feel the urgency from Callan and knew he was waiting in the back yard of the house he'd stormed. I slowed my running until I could fall beside Jason, who thrust himself even faster over the field. I wished I could have told him not to say a word about the girl while we were still human and away from Callan's hearing, but I couldn't think of it now. Not without Callan knowing and going after her, or sending someone else that way. I focused on the ground beneath me, on the houses up ahead and on rejoining the pack.. Anything but the girl.

Bar Habour Empty

I stared at Jason wide eyed, that didn't help their cause at all. I scowled at them and backed a few more steps away, not without a few more winces. He then told me that I had to listen to him, and I was prepared to listen, but there were no assurances that I was going to believe and/or obey what he said. But just as I was about to respond he started acting strange. He looked like he was in pain, maybe a headache, Jason was acting the same way as well, I stepped away. "What's going on?" I asked shakily, but the only response I got was one last glance from no-name, and then both him and Jason running right past me. I whirled around and watched them go, staring in shock, what had just happened? I dropped my crowbar and decided that I had better get out of here, and fast. I started to jog as best I could with my sore ankle, and headed towards Nightstrip, but right before I was about to get into that zone I took a right down a street and stopped at Mary's house, she would help me, I knew she would. I knocked on the door a few times, but there was no answer. I glanced around, she must be out with Jeremy, they always had the hots for each other but didn't want to admit it, I smiled a little at the thought then reached over and stuck my hand in the flower pot that was by her door, I dug around in the dirt for about 2 seconds and found her spare key. I put it in the lock and let myself in. I closed the door firmly behind me and locked very lock she had on it. I then hobbled to her bathroom and found the first aid kit so I could bandage my ankle. It wasn't a serious injury, just a little sprain, but it hurt a whole darn lot.
