"Get in." They said as they tended to her. Maureen's face was pale and and her leg looked like a huge mess.

shane nodded and bit his lip, jumping into the back, he kneeled down beside Maureen. he Held back Tears, just not to look like a Baby.. this was completely his fault, he shouldn't have left them.

Maureens eyes slowly opened as the Medics sped off towards hte nearest town with a hospital. "You ok..miss um..miss...?" "Parker." She said slowly in a chocked voice, she looked around everyting was a blur but she managed to spot out Shane, altough he was a double vision she reached her hend out to him feeling for his.

Shane reached his hand up and Gently grabbed Maureen's, biting the inside of his cheek so hard it was bleeding.. "i'm so sorry.." He said in a whisper to her.

"Not...you fault." She said coughing again and wincing at the pain, she squeezed his hand as the doctor was removing her cast.

"It is.." Shane said to himself, too Quiet to Hear, he glanced at the Doctor taking off the cast, but Quickly looked away, As he couldn't handle seeing it..

Soon the got to a hospital, and she was being loaded out, so fast that she didn't know what was happening, she groaned in pain and closed her eyes her hand was being slowly pulled from Shanes, she grasped tighted but she was beign pulled out of the vehical. She sighed and let them take her into emergensy.

Shane let go after he felt they weren't gonna stop. He jumped out of the ambulance and followed behind them, Hardly caring if he was allowed to or not.

"I'm sorry but you cannot acces this area, she has to be treated and operated on her leg is in bad condition." A nurse said stepping infront of him. Maureen was taken into a large room and the door was shut and locked, she was placed on a bed and nurses came in and changed her into hospital clothes. She was given medicine so it was ease the pain and soon she was asleep, completely unconcious, they put her to sleep for the operation.

"I-.." Shane started, but stopped and looked around. "I'm not Leaving till I know she is okay.." He said with A determined, yet miserable Face.

"Then go sit in he waiting room." The doctor said sternly, as inside the room they were beggining the operation.

Shane rolled his eyes and Ran in a Jog around the Front of the Hospital, Walking in the Main entrance, he slowed down to a Walk and went to the Waiting room, flopping on a Chair. He looked around nervously and gulped.

(Time Skip, 2 hours later)

Maureen was taken to the rehabilitation area, and placed in a large room. That was al white, including seats and the bed covers.

Maureen was still asleep, but would wake up soon.

A nurse walked out to the waiting room. "Will the young man who was accompanying a girl by the name of Maureen Hope Parker, please come with me?" She asked in a clear voice, waiting patiently, her gaze soft nad understanding.

Shane was half asleep, But stood up Real quick as soon as he heard someone say Maureen's name, he looked back and froth frantically, then saw the Nurse and walked over to her, "Is she O-okay?.." He asked in a Low tone, biting his bottom lip hard.

"She'll be fine, calm down. She's in the recovery wing, still asleep. Follow me please." She said pleasantly.

Shane sighed softly and nodded, Ready to follow her.

The nurse turned back down to the hall she had coem from and walked at a casual pace.

Shane followed behind her, Tucking his Shaking hands into his pockets, he stared at the ground as he walked at a Slightly slower pace than the Nurse.

She looked at him, surprised he hadn't alreayd zoomed past her in a uhrry to see Mar. She raised an eyebrow and walked slightly faster.

[He wouldn't know what room to go into :P]


Shane glanced up at the Nurse, "Can we go a little faster??" He harassed in a Low, still kind of Shaky tone.

The nurse nodded and walked at a fast walk, the room was coming closer and into veiw. "Room 228." She said and stopped. "Right over there." She pointed towards it then turned nad walked the other way.

Shane nodded and sprinted forward to the Door, quietly opening it, he looked in, seeing Maureen. He bit the inside of his cheek again and stepped in, Shutting the door gently behind hm.

Maureens hand twitched slightly and her eyes cracked open. She coughed and winced, her lungs were on fire, she needed water, she opened her eyes wider, then heard the door shut, she looked towards the door, a blank look on her face for a few seconds before a smile pulled across her pale face.

Shane let out a Very gentle Sigh and quietly walked over next to her bed, looking down at her, He Felt completely miserable, But a the Same time, Happy she was okay, and at least strong enough to smile and know it was him,,

Her pale hand moved slowly towards his, then reached and clasped his hand, realief rushed over her and her hands didn't shake anymore.
