I guess it's pretty much safe to say that we are dying or already dead. This saddens me. WHERE IS EVERYONE?! I admit I've been very busy with school work, and with my job, and friends, church, and all the other million things going on in my life and haven't been on much either... But I want to change that! These are a few Random Poems I wrote. They're the first I've ever done, so they aren't very good...... but comment anyways. :3

This is a Poem I wrote about a Dog running away. It's been a long time since I've lost a dog, But I know the pain and agony people go through when they find their best friends missing.

You've been my best friend for as long as I know,
Which only makes me wonder why you wanted to go.
I loved you, cared for you, but now you just leave,
Is this just another obstacle that I'll have to weave?
I Pray that the day soonly will come,
That you'll come around, and make your way home.
I love you, I miss you, I wanted you to stay
And still each night, for you to come home, I will pray
Here is to you, my Dear, sweet best friend,
Hoping you safety and Love, right up til the end.

This Poem is titles Why. It is something I wrote about Horse Slaughter, just after reading an article on it. People are very decisive and cruel to do Horse Slaughter. Is the pain and guilt they probably go through worth the meat?
Its a heartless action that many people make, and this is just a poem I wrote of what the Horses may be thinking.

I worked for you, loved you, and it comes down to this?
This is pain, this is agony, where's your joy, where's your bliss?
I try my best to make you proud, Joyful or happy.
But instead of praise, I get hit. I be kind, you get snappy.
I'm losing my hope, and my faith that you'll care.
What are you doing to me, what did you do with that mare?
I see the guilt upon your face, as you take me away.
Am I going to die? Is this finally that day?
I imagine that even hell could be much more relieving
Than staying here with you. You're dicicive, decieving.
That man is coming towards me, with an axe in his hand
I just want you to know, you never were a good man.
All this pain, all this suffering, why do I have to pay?
He is close enough now. Goodbye is the last thing I'll say.

wow...very good for a first attempt garf. Very sad though. You take on the perspective of the horse and the friend very well. I also liked the occasional rhythm here and there. Are you going to make more in the future?

Thanks! They are pretty upsetting... I know. I was depressed last night when I wrote them, so I found it hard to write about anything happy.
I will be writing more soon, or even today. It was really fun to write these, And I hope that I can get better at it the more I write. ;3

Thanks! And yeah. So far, I'm starting in the morning, and adding to it, and tweaking it all day long. Here is a new one;

Lost and found

Somebody help me.. I'm cold and I'm lost...
Left to fend for myself. Why must I pay the cost?
How could you? You left me, to protect myself, and to die
And as I lay here alone, I only want to know Why.
Someone is stopping near me, Who are they, what do they want?
I'm frightened, and scared. And they're looking quite blunt
They grabbed me by the neck, held me close, took me home.
Cared for me, Loved me, now i'm no longer alone.
There is only one thing left that I want to know...;
Why did you want me in the first place? Why did you ever have to go?
I had faith that you'd come around, one of these days.
But now I'll never know, I'll never again meet your gaze.
I know that you never meant to do me any harm...
I just want you to know that I'm happy, I'm safe and I'm warm.

bitter sweet, nice. Is this from a piont of view of a horse ro is this just general over all piont of view of all animals?

well those are poems they're just really short poems. Dingeon? The second one I felt it had a lot of....can't think of the exact word for it.....mmmm.....indepentancy? Have you ever heard poems that use iambic pentameter?

Oh, And I wrote the last one with Thoughts of my *old* best friend's Mom... Her husband is very pushy... bad, bad man. For the little respect I have for him; I won't tell you what he's done... but very rude, bad, cruel things to his wife. Its really sad that they aren't divorced yet. :/

Wow...sorry to hear that one of your old best friend's father is a bad man. I hope the best for your friend.

Iambic pentameter is part of a poem structure. Basically there are 10 syllables in each line of your poem, here's a liunk to learn more about it. Iambic pentameter Thought about using a poem structure like a Shakespearean sonnet or Haiku?
