Oak down High

Shane chortled, "Right, right." He said, contently following her down the small hill toward the pond. He tucked his free hand in his jeans pocket and exhaled, glancing up at the sky, then back down at Pepper. The necklace sparkled beautifully in the moonlight, and he smiled wider.

I laughed gently and made my way down the hill, finally reaching the glittering pond, I kicked off my tennis shoes and took off my socks, releasing Shane's hand and walking to a large rock that was half way in the water. I sat down and let my feet meet the cool water, it instantly felt refreshing and I smiled, looking back at Shane, "C'mon!" I giggled lightly.

Shane made a big deal out of sighing and leaned down, pulling off his black converse high tops. He pulled off his socks as well and tossed them over near a small tree, along with his shoes, then rolled up his light-wash jeans. "Coming," He grinned, then walked down into the water. Rather than getting on one of the many large, flat rocks, he waded into the shallow water, kicking the small pebbles and stirring up dirt under the water.
"So," He wandered toward Pepper after a short about of time, looking at her with a wide smile. "What now?"

I watched him in the moonlight and smiled. Then he began wading into the water then wandered towards me. I looked thoughtful a moment, then kicked my feet out of the water, sending a small splash over towards him. "Hmmm.. I dunno..." I managed to say without laughing, wondering if I had managed to get him wet.

I felt the cold wetness on the knees of my jeans and snorted. "Hey!" I called with a laugh, then kicked some water up at her in return. Not very much, just a small splash... But I hoped that I'd gotten her.[short]

I laughed and tired to dodge but it hit me anyway, and I giggled as the water soaked in, creating a slightly bigger splash in his direction. I laughed. "Beat that!" I said, but kept my voice quiet, not wanting to wake anyone up and risk getting in trouble. (shottt lol)

Shane ducked and turned his head away from the splash, but was hit despite it. "Nawh," He replied to her, wiping the water off his arms. "Not unless you want me to dunk you." He said teasingly, then waded a little deeper into the water, waiting for her to follow.

I laughed. "Oh no you don't!" I giggled and slid off the rick into the water, it came up to a little above my knees. I quickly followed him, the water getting deeper with each step, almost reaching the hem of my longish shorts. Eh, whatever I didn't care if I got wet, as long as I was having fun I was fine. I smiled over at him once I got beside him and splashed him lighlty with a laugh.
