The new, unprecedented 141-acre waterscape, AQUAVENTURE, the centerpiece of Atlantis' recent billion-dollar development and is a complimentary attraction for all resort guests. This addition positions Atlantis as one of the largest water-themed attraction in the world, containing over twenty million gallons of water. This non-stop water experience, consists of thrilling new water slides, a mile-long river ride with high intensity rapids and wave surges, and never-before-seen special effects that add an extreme level of excitement to the overall experience, delivering a sensory journey unlike any other. AQUAVENTURE adds first-of-its-kind special effects and technology to its water slides and river rides, bringing them together in a lush environment that is both immersive and interconnected. Once guests are situated in their inner tubes, they are propelled along by water escalators, waves, water surges and master blaster technology. Unlike traditional water slides that require the participant to leave the water and climb back to the start, at AQUAVENTURE guests never have to leave the water as they are propelled back up the slide tower via water conveyors.

With imagination and innovation that is unique to Atlantis, an exhilarating new waterscape of slides, rivers and pools will deliver a sensory journey unlike any other. The new waterscape will introduce the next generation of water experiences for Atlantis. In addition to the thrilling Mayan Temple slides and vast selection of Atlantis pools, the new waterscape offers you never seen before thrills and adventure.

The Abyss
Beginning with a staggering 50-foot near vertical drop, this thrilling 14-second, 200-foot-long body slide through waterfalls and in-and-out of the Tower’s darkness ultimately ends in an underground lair of prehistoric alligator gars.

The Drop
Accessible from the river, this slide will allow guests to journey up the Tower while still in their inner tubes via a water-propelling conveyor, to then spiral down through the Tower’s dark center.

The Falls
Another inner tube ride accessed via the upward-pushing conveyor, where riders drop 58 feet to ground level before being propelled up again through twisting tubes.

The Surge
Starting at the Tower’s top level, this inner tube ride features a camel back drop into a cavern, ending in a flash flood.

Mayan Temple~

Just beyond the Royal Towers lies the towering six-story Mayan temple with its five water slides. For your safety and convenience, please observe the mandatory posted water slide rules and those given by the slide attendants. All riders use the slides at their own risk.

Leap Of Faith
The Leap of Faith slide offers the daring and adventurous, a 60 ft. almost-vertical drop from the top of the Mayan Temple, propelling riders at a tremendous speed through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in a shark-filled lagoon.

Serpent Slide
On the five-story corkscrew Serpent Slide, guests travel on a tube at high speeds through the darkness of the Temple's core. The twisting and turning ride culminates with a leisurely pass through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in a shark-filled lagoon. Located at the Mayan Temple.

Challenger Slides
Challenge a friend instead of the sharks! Guests can race each other, two at a time, down the twin high-speed Challenger Slides. Check your speeds on the time clocks at the bottom of the slides and see who won! Located at the Mayan Temple.

Jungle Slide
Take a thrilling high-speed safari. Pass through exotic jungles and caves built into the heart of the Temple. Located at the Mayan Temple.

The Current

A mile-long river expedition with four-foot waves pushing inner tube riders through a densely landscaped, tropical jungle of rapids, underground tunnels, tidal waves and Tower slides. The complex ‘transportainment’ system allows riders to float along the river or join in a queue for water slides without leaving their inner tubes.

Climber's Rush

Climber's Rush is a state of the art climbing facility with 12 climbing surfaces located within AQUAVENTURE, the spectacular water park at Atlantis. The first of its kind in the hospitality industry, guests have a variety of options and difficulties to choose from, including a one time climb, an hour of instructional teaching, or group clinics with a focus on teamwork and communication. All of our instructors are experienced, professional belayers and are certified to teach all aspects of climbing, including movement and lead climb classes.

Dolphin Cay
Few animals are known for having as much fun as the playful Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. Today, it’s your turn to join them. Welcome to Dolphin Cay Atlantis in Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. An extraordinary, 14-acre dolphin habitat—one of the largest and most sophisticated of its kind in the world. Whether you share in their playful shallow water antics or experience their speed and agility first-hand in the deeper waters, the dolphins of Atlantis welcome you to share in their fun. At Dolphin Cay Atlantis, swimming with dolphins has been redefined.

Shallow Water Interaction
In the Shallow Water Interaction at Dolphin Cay, you’ll wade in waist-high waters to watch these playful animals show off some of their favorite skills. Then come nose to bottlenose for an unforgettable, up-close encounter as you touch, hug and even kiss your new dolphin friend. Limited to just 10 guests, this intimate interaction begins with an orientation and includes 30 minutes in the water. Wetsuits, personal lockers, beach towels, and non-alcoholic refreshments are provided, along with all-day access to Dolphin Cay’s private beach. This family favorite is open to guests of all ages and swimming abilities.

Deep Water Swim
In the depths at Dolphin Cay, a one-of-a-kind dolphin experience awaits. Limited to just six guests, this wide-open dolphin playground is yours to explore. Snorkel and glide alongside dolphins with hand-held water scooters. Then get ready for the highlight of your encounter, our signature “foot push,” where dolphins propel you across the lagoon for a rush unlike any you’ve experienced. This unforgettable interaction begins with an orientation and includes 30 minutes in the deep water lagoon. Snorkels and masks are also provided—and yours to take with you. Wetsuit, personal lockers, beach towels, and non-alcoholic refreshments are also provided, along with all-day access to Dolphin Cay’s private beach. Participants must be at least 10 years of age and be able to swim in deep water without support vests or assistance.

Trainer For A Day
For the ultimate, hands-on dolphin experience, Dolphin Cay is now offering the exclusive Trainer for a Day program. Beach Pass
Purchase a Beach Pass and receive exclusive unlimited access to the beach at Dolphin Cay. Your pass includes all day beach service with complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments.You can also take part in our dolphin orientation session, designed to familiarize guests with the Atlantic bottlenose dolphins of Atlantis. The Beach Pass does not include entry into the dolphin lagoons, and is only available for sale at the Dolphin Cay Reservations Center.

Royal Baths Pool
Guests looking for traditional sun bathing may relax at the formal Royal Baths. Palm trees fringe the area to provide shade throughout the day. Located at the
Royal Towers.

Mayan Temple Pool
At the foot of the impressive Mayan Temple, this zero-entry pool is an active spot for swimming and sunbathing. Located at the Royal Towers.

Lagoon Pool
The tranquil setting of the free-form Lagoon Pool is the perfect place to swim or bask in the Bahamian sun. Located at the Coral Towers.

River Pool
The zero-entry River Pool deepens gradually, like walking into the ocean. Located at the Beach Tower.

Grotto Pool
The Grotto Pool with two beautiful cascading waterfalls deepens gradually, like walking into the ocean. Located near the Power Tower.

The Baths Pool
Large columns with hieroglyphs and rockwork structures adorn this free-form pool containing nearly 750,000 gallons of water, surrounded by 2.5 acres of sunning deck space lies adjacent Cove Beach. This pool is five feet deep at its center, the deepest of any pool at Atlantis. An 11-foot embankment between the pool and the beach shields sunbathers from the wind-blown sand.

Lazy River Ride
Everyone in the family will enjoy the relaxing and scenic Lazy River Ride. Sitting in a tube, guests slowly meander around a quarter-mile loop, guided by a gentle current. Located outside the Beach Tower.

Beaches

Paradise Lagoon Beach
Relax on one of two sandy beaches and enjoy the warm Bahamian sunshine. The 7-acre Paradise Lagoon offers snorkeling, paddle boats and other water sports in a protected environment - great for the kids. South Paradise Lagoon is located just outside of The Dig and the Royal Towers. North Paradise Lagoon is located just beyond the Lagoon Bar & Grill, outside of the Coral Towers.

Atlantis Beach
Endless miles of white sand beach stretch as far as the eye can see. Lounge chairs, umbrellas and beach towels are available for the exclusive use
of Atlantis guests.

Marine Habitat
Experience up-close views of more than 50,000 marine animals from over 200 species. Walk through underwater tunnels surrounded by sharks. Meander through passageways and observe stingrays, moon jellies and piranhas. Soak in beautiful open-air lagoons filled with tropical sea life. Observe daily feedings of some of the world’s most incredible aquatic life.

Ruins Lagoon

Located in the Royal Towers, and viewable from within The Dig or the lower level of the Great Hall of Waters, the Ruins Lagoon, filled with ancient Atlantis artifacts, is home to over 20,000 deep reef and pelagic fish. These open-water fish include a variety of tuna, jacks, snappers and spiny lobster. The 2.7 million-gallon exhibits allow for the magnificent display of certain species of fish that are normally impossible or very difficult to view without getting wet.

Predator Lagoon

Located below the Lagoon Bar & Grill, outside the Coral Towers, the Predator Lagoon is a fascinating wildlife habitat under the sea, featuring predominately deeper reef fish. Sharks, barracudas, rays, sawfish and giant grouper live among vibrant schools of fish in a natural environment, complete with beautiful coral in every color imaginable. Guests can come face to face with the awesome predators as they walk through the 100-foot clear underwater tunnel submerged in the lagoon.

Seagrapes Lagoon

Located outside the Beach Tower, colorful reef fish and gentle rays create a kaleidoscope inside a Bahamian cave. Peering through giant viewing windows into the 500,000-gallon lagoon, guests can see French angelfish, parrotfish, butterfly fish, squirrelfish and live soft corals. During feedings, they will see the rays being fed by hand.

Stingray Lagoon

Located outside the Beach Tower, this sandy, shallow lagoon affords guests an up-close look at Cownose Rays. The Cownose Stingrays found here have venomous barbs located on top of their tails for use only as a defense mechanism. When rays encounter a predator, the tail is brought forward causing the barb to stand up and with a whipping action, the barb is injected into the predator. Stingrays are relatively docile creatures and not all are venomous. During feeding times, guests have the opportunity to touch and
feed the rays.

Hibiscus Lagoon

Located outside the Beach Tower, this meandering lagoon is home to green sea and hawksbill turtles indigenous to The Bahamas. During feeding times, guests have the opportunity to touch and
feed the turtles.

Mayan Temple Lagoon

Located outside the Royal Towers in the Mayan Temple, Caribbean reef sharks, silky sharks and nurse sharks can be seen from extraordinary vantage points: from an exhilarating ride on a water slide through the middle of the lagoon in a clear tunnel - or from the surrounding deck and panoramic windows, which offer a more leisurely look.

Scuba
Take advantage of multiple and diverse water sites. Experience the clearest and calmest waters the Bahamas has to offer. Choose various dives from shallow reefs with ship wrecks to a SUB dive on one of Nassau’s famous reefs. Many of these shallow reefs and shipwrecks have been seen throughout the world in various feature films such as Deep Blue Sea, Spy Kids, and three James Bond thrillers. For the more adventurous diver there is a shark dive with as many as
forty Caribbean Reef sharks.

Sail Nassau
Experience sailing a multi-million dollar America’s Cup Racer. Participation is welcomed but not required—passengers become the crew and are encouraged to take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the action as we sail around Paradise Island. No prior sailing experience is necessary to enjoy this excursion.
